Showing our Talent!

The Talent Show was a huge success for the Cannan Wildkats! Mrs. Christie organized a wonderful performance filled with dance, song, and a whole variety of acts that students and their families will remember for years to come. Taking place in the Lynn Lucas Middle School auditorium, the big show took place Tuesday night at 6:30 PM. Cannan thanks the local businesses who helped to support the event, along with the many volunteers, performers, and the audience themselves for making such a special evening.
Benchmarks also took place this week on Wednesday and Thursday. Students worked hard and did their best on the tests, both in fourth and fifth grade. All through the week, Jump Rope for Heart also continues with Coach Warren, who is keeping the students up and active despite the rainy weather!
Cannan's science investigators also worked hard on their miniature catapults, and plan to put them to the test Thursday afternoon using marshmallows! Learning about physics has never been quite so fun or sweet.
Finally, author Cowgirl Peg is paying a visit to the school on Friday, and Cannan encourages students to dress up in western wear for "Go Texan Day" at the same time! Students will have the opportunity to hear from Cowgirl Peg during their specials time, and Mrs. Perez will be taking book orders for interested students.
