Rolling Past 100 Days!

This week at Cannan…

Tuesday this week, Cannan recognized its students who made it onto the A or A/B Honor Roll as well as those who make the effort to have perfect attendance! It was a fun celebration of the hard work our Cannan Wildkats put in every day towards achieving their academic goals. We also recently had our Jr. Lego League Night, a fun event for students to show off their ingenuity and creative building skills!

On Wednesday, the Cannan Wildkats celebrated the 100th Day of School with many different fun activities! Many students went the extra mile, dressing up as “old” versions of themselves to show that we are one hundred days smarter!

Thursday, the 1st of February, marks the World Read Aloud Day, an event to promote reading in the classroom and an enthusiasm for literature among our students. Mrs. Perez from our library took the extra effort to make sure that Cannan students have the opportunity to show their love of reading on this day.

And on Friday, Cannan has the Donuts with Dad event at 9 AM! We look forward to welcoming parents to share a fun breakfast with their students, and hope to see many dads to share in the donuts!

Cannan is also starting the Pennies for Patients fundraiser on the 26th of February (2/26/18). Students are encouraged to bring spare change and donations and learn about giving back to the greater community. All proceeds will be donated to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to help fund research on cancer and assist blood cancer patients. We will even have dress-up days in March to go along with the event, so keep an eye on the calendar!
